San Rafael City Schools values the participation of staff at all levels and in all positions. Teachers in our K-5 schools meet monthly by grade level to consider, review, discuss, and develop Common Core aligned curriculum that is aligned and prepares students for content mastery and new forms of assessment. 

These district-wide grade level meetings contribute to the collective knowledge of all teachers, guiding and ensuring we deliver a viable and guaranteed curriculum for all students. These K through 5th grade teams will be focused on Writers Workshop implementation for the 2019-2020 school year.

Teachers will contribute to grade level planning, unit design, development of common formative assessments that will be administered district wide.  

Meeting Expectations

• That the agenda is sent out in advance of the meeting.
• That the teacher leaders will be facilitating the agenda.
• That the principals will serve as facilitation coaches, assisting as needed.
• That we honor the group’s time by asking that people arrive on time, begin on time, stay for the whole meeting and end the meeting on time.
• Evaluative feedback is collected.
